Stockholm is the capital and the largest city of Sweden, with a population of 750,000 inhabitants. Stockholm has extensive local governance responsibilities. It is part of a Larger Urban Zone (LUZ) of over 1.8 million inhabitants which is home to approximately 22% of Sweden's population.
